Visiting preacher Jim Patterson shares with us his thoughts on this passage and how the writer to the Hebrews urges the Jews to persevere – they are being tempted to return to Judaism but he is persuading them the Old Testament was a shadow of the Reality which is Jesus. It was God’s will for Jesus to suffer as a sacrifice once for all for all believers – the Old Testament sacrifices point to Him.
