We sometimes doubt ourselves and we sometimes doubt God but this psalm is an encouragement. Verse 7 tells us: ‘Be at rest once more O my soul for the Lord has been good to you.’

We hear people sometimes say that there are many ways to God and it doesn’t really matter how we get there. Jesus shows us in this passage that this is not true but that the gate is small and the road narrow that leads to life.
